Raise the anchor, trim the sail,
We raid tonight if winds prevail...

(Lyrics from the craptacular 1982 film 'The Pirate Movie'.)

Scene created with Vue 6 Infinite xStream

-------------

Medusa model from DAZ Productions - [link]

-------------

Useless technical trivia nobody cares about:

Sky & clouds were modified from one of Vue 6's 'Spectral Sunset' presets.
The ocean was modified from Vue 6's 'Distant Water' material preset and mapped onto an infinite plane.

Disclaimer: No wenches were ravished in the making of this picture.
(But not for a lack of trying.)

Daily DeviationWe Raid Tonight by ~LastDarkAutumn. Says hellshallbemine "This piece stands out well. It might be its simplicity, its mood, or just its skillful display of quick rendering--but whatever it may be, you just can't help but be pulled on-board". Being a true pirate at heart, I agree. Absolutely amazing! I thought for certain this was a refurbished ship that you took a photo of while sailing. You have mean talents, sir! :)

If I ever come across a ship like this while I'm out sailing, I'm laying Althea alongside board-on-board to storm her decks and take her a prize.
(I've always wanted a 'real' sailing ship, bad enough to turn pirate to get one.)

I've got shoulder length hair and wear two hoop earrings - can I come along? I'll bring a parrot! :)

Never mind the parrot, get busy with a broomstick learning the cut and thrust of swordplay!!!
Aww hell, never mind that either. Just bring rum.

Shoulder length hair, you say? Damn I envy you.
I used to have a pony tail not quite halfway down my back.
In one of my more spectacularly stupid moments, I had it cut off.
Still wear an earring though.

I'm the equivalent of a 4th degree blackbelt in the Filipino art of Eskrima. I've also taught for several years and currently hve two students. It's a martial art based on edged weapons, so swordplay is NO problem at all! :)

What... this is a render?

BULL!!!

*continues squinting at it*

S'good. *nod*
KickASS!!!

Maybe you can teach me not to poke my eye out with my fencing foil, or the (overpriced & had to pay for out of my own pocket) dress uniform sabre I kept from my army days.

Holy Heavage, Batman! It's Gastro-Girl, risen from her deathbed!!!
(Hope you're feeling better, btw.)

And 'BULL!!!' ???
Must be me.
This was only rendered at 50% quality so to me it sucks the proverbial big one.

Maybe it's a good thing I don't post my good stuff around here.
I'd hate to be responsible for eyeballs popping out and splattering monitor screens...

I could do that - using any blade is the ultimate goal of a Kali warrior.

That would rock on, as all I know is simple theatrical sword fighting.
Which is a horse of a completely different colour entirely to the real deal.
